Gauri Bijur Saal is the Founder of Paisley House.

After spending the last 30 years as an health economist helping the NHS and other healthcare systems improve patient access to medicines and writing papers on many diseases and treatments, I have started to give back to community; to give clear information to people on staying well, and also encourage community connection, which is important for well-being too.

Ayurveda is a large part of my heritage having lived it, learned it and seen how the practice has kept people healthy. Together these come together in my practice of “Clinical Integrative Healthcare”. combining a deep knowledge of modern healthcare with Ayurveda.

I’ve always believed that everyone deserves good healthcare and society needs to look after each other. But like all public services, the NHS is extremely stretched; so it’s everyone’s responsibility to stay healthy which in turn helps healthcare reach a wider population. We also need to stay healthy at least for ourselves and loved ones. This is why I started Paisley House.

It’s such exciting times at the moment for “modern medicine” - now starting to cure diseases or identify conditions at the earliest stages. And it’s now also exciting times for the ancient sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga, which have been practiced for a millennia, and now proving how up to date they actually are.

And as a community, we also need to help families to stay well and raise happy, healthy kids. To this end, I share my healthcare, nutrition and parent/family coaching with the community. Sometimes it can get a bit tricky for all parents, but we all try to be better parents than we were the day before.
